System Configuration

Introduction


System Configuration is the changing of settings. System Administration is the managing of day to day issues such as deleting documents, resetting RFCs etc..

The system administrator can access the following functionality to configure the system. The role of System Administrator is assigned on the Person Record.

Keywords Configuration


The Keyword Configuration section is used to control simple configuration settings like labels, drop down field values etc..

People Configuration


People Records are used to set up users and define the permissions that they have in the system. They are then assigned to Roles using Role Records.
Users can also Change Passwords using their person page.

Roles Configuration


The Role Records allows people to be assigned as Role Holders or Deputies

Questions Configuration


The Questions Configuration allows the system administrator to define the questions that will be asked in the Hazop Requirement Check and the Specification Check

Risk Classification Configuration


The Risk Classification Configuration allows the system administrator to set the Risk Classification questions and their associated weighting

Risk Assessment Topic Configuration


The Risk Assessment Topic configuration allows the administrator to update the Risk Assessment topics to reflect the latest best practice

Records Configuration


The Records configuration section allows the system administrator to define the what Topics and prompts are suggested in the Risk Assessment phase.

Email Configuration


The Emails Configuration section allows the email messages sent from the system to be configured

Process Flow Configuration


The Process Flow Configuration allows the administrator to set up different process flows for the High, Medium and Low classifications. The administrator can also configure the system to allow the sign on behalf of functionality to be used.

Help Screen Configuration


the Help Screen Configuration allows the administrator to manage the contents of the help screen messages.
 

Exporting Documents

There are two Excel export schemes.
 

Basic Export

The basic scheme generates a aimple list of changes or of actions depending on which screen the button is triggered fromThis gives an error message in Excel 2003, this is an Excel issue and there is currently no known workaround
 

Advanced Export

The Advanced export functionality uses a scheme which updates the data in Excel from the applicationThis has the advantage that it will update any charts or tables that you have already set up so it lends itself really well to producing periodic reports and metrics.
